Silent Hill

I have just recently watched Silent Hill and it was awesome!
I didn't really find it that scary but it was really good all the same.
It was basically about a little girl who keeps sleepwalking and saying the words "Silent Hill" before she wakes up, just after a particularily bad episode of sleepwalking the mother decides to take the little girl to the town "Silent Hill" to try and sort it all out, she goes on her own and the father stays behind.
When they are almost there a police officer stops them and they drive off, the officer gives chase and follows them to Silent Hill where they crash.
After that the daughter disappears and the mother is left to hunt her down on her own until she runs into help from the officer, unfortionately the things that haunt the town can't simply be beaten by the two of them...

This is an amazing film with an awesome storyline, though the ending is rather depressing in a way, but worth a watch all the same.
I recommend this film for people who like psychological thrillers or just horrors in general, its a great watch with some really creative plot twists and a great storyline and amazing action.

System of a Down album list and ratings

System of a Down (SOAD) are an amazing band from America, they play Trash Metal, have been going since 1994 and have brought out about 5 albums.
They are one of my favourite bands because of their random lyrics and amazing rhythms.
I suggest any fan of Metal checks out this band, they are amazing!

System of a Down = The first album by SOAD and was made in 1998, it is a great album with amazing songs such as 'Sugar', 'Darts' and 'Mind' on it.
It is an amazing album and it really shows you what System of a Down are like.

Toxicity = The second album brought out by SOAD which came out in 2001, it has some amazing songs on it too, like 'Toxicity', 'Science' and 'Needles'.
It is an awesome album and contains some awesome tracks, its not the best one but is still amazing.

Steal This Album! = This in my opinion is the best SOAD album out, it came out in 2002, it contains some amazing tracks like 'Chic 'N' Stu', 'A.D.D (American Dream Denial)' and 'Thetawaves' which are all amazing tracks.
I would definitely recommend getting this album, its awesome!

Mezmerize = An awesome album and the first SOAD album I ever listened to.
It came out in 2005, and contains some cool tracks like 'Old School Hollywood', 'Cigaro' and the legendary 'B.Y.O.B'.
Its an awesome album and got me into SOAD for the first time, I would recommend buying it even though it doesn't contain some of their best work it is still great.

Hypnotize = This is the last album out by SOAD so far, it came out in , and contains some awesome tracks like 'Attack', Hypnotize' and 'Kill Rock 'N' Roll'.
This is an amazing album with some awesome tracks, and I really liked it, its my second favourite SOAD album.

Deathstars Albums

Deathstars are a Swedish Gothic Metal band who started in 2001, they have brought out about 3 albums so far and are still going, here is a list of the albums and what I think of them and which ones I would recommend.

Synthetic Generation = This is the first of their albums and it came out in 2003, it is pretty good in my opinion, my favourite songs on it have got to be 'Syndrome' and 'Little Angel'.
This album gives a pretty good idea of what Deathstars are like, cold, dark and amazing!
It is a great album but not their best.

Termination Bliss = This is an amazing album, it has some of my favourite Deathstars songs like 'Tongues', 'The Greatest Fight on Earth' and 'Play God', they are amazing songs.
This is the second album by Deathstars, it came out in 2006 and in my opinion is better then the first, but this is still not the best one, I would still definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Deathstars or a similar band.

This is the third album by Deathstars and is my favourite one, its called 'Night Electric Night' and it came out in 2009
It contains my favourite track by Deathstars, 'Arclight' and some other amazing songs like 'Babylon', 'Night Electric Night' and 'Venus in Arms'.
It is an amazing album and a must have for any fan of Deathstars and Gothic metal!

Vampire Movies (Full List and reviews)

I haven't seen that many vampire movies and I can't remember most of some of the ones I have seen, but heres my current list anyway:

Queen of the Damned = This is one of my all time favourite movies ever! Everything about it is awesome, awesome acting, great storyline, great special effects, awesome music, awesome everything, I strongly recommend checking this film out, its about the Vampire Le'stat who wakes up in modern times and makes a band and annoys all the other vampires and wakes the Queen of the Damned which then results in some amazing fight scenes and some other awesome special effects that will blow your mind!

Interview with a Vampire = This is an awesome film too, great acting, great storyline, great special effects, it is about a man who becomes a vampire after meeting the Vampire Le'Stat and the film is basically the man's journey through the world and how he copes with vampirism and who he meets in the process, it is an amazing film with some awesome fight scenes and a great story behind it

Van Helsing = This was an alright film, slightly cheesey in my eyes, but good none-the-less, its about a mythical creature hunter called Van Helsing who is hired to kill the almost immortal Count Dracula, the film is basically how he attempts it and what obstacles he faces on the way, the acting is good, the storyline is good, and the special effects are amazing

Salem's lot (the new one) = It's a relatively good film with a good storyline, its basically about a place called Salem's lot which is infested with vampires, the story basically tells of how a few people face off with the vampires in an attempt to save the town and themselves, its got a good amount of action in it and in my eyes is a pretty good film, good acting, good special effects and a good storyline

From Dusk Till Dawn = This film is about a kidnapping that goes horribly wrong, the kidnappers take their hostages to mexico and they go to a bar, but the bar is full of vampires, and they have to fight through the night alongside the other bar patrons to try to survive, its a good film packed with action and a good storyline, the acting is good, the special effects are alright and the storyline is good and it has a good amount of gore and a little black comedy

The Lost Boys = This film is about a family who move to a new place, the older son wants to fit in with a gang of local boys but they turn out to be vampires, he undergoes the transformation to fit in but ends up regretting it, at the end there is a massive fight where he must kill the head vampire if he stands any hope of returning to how he was, its a good film with an alright storyline and alright special effects

Shadow of the Vampire = This is a fictional documentary about the making of the legendary film Nosferatu, it is based in and around Germany in the early 1900s and is basically about the actor who playes the vampire actually being a vampire, its a good film in my eyes and is worth a watch, it has good actors, good special effects and a good storyline

30 Days of Night = This film is based in Alaska (I think) and is about the time of year when there is 30 Days of Night (Hence the name), during this time the town is attacked by vampires and the townsfolk have to fight to survive against the hoard of the undead until it becomes light again, its got great actors, a good storyline, awesome special effects and a good ending

Zombie Movies (Full list and ratings)

Here is a full list of the zombie movies I can remember watching and what I thought of them:

28 Days Later = A great movie about a man waking up in hospital to empty London 28 days after an infection broke out, the film is about his fight for survival and who he meets who hinder or help him through, infection style, one of my favorites, based in England, fast paced action, good special effects, sick gore, great story line (despite a couple of holes), altogether a great watch, I personally loved this movie

28 Weeks Later = Follow on from 28 Days Later, was quite good but not as good, good special effects, not so good storyline, sick gore, fast paced, gets into the action a bit fast for my liking, still a good watch

Dawn of the Dead (2004 one) = This movie was great too, its about a place in america when the dead rise again, the main people are a group of survivors that meet by chance and head to a shopping mall to hide out and end up making a break for the port nearby, its a great film, the special effects are awesome, sick gore, good storyline, nice twists and an all round great movie

Night of the Living Dead (1968 version) = This movies is based in the countryside in America, it is about a brother and sister who go to their relatives grave and get attacked by a zombie who kills the brother, the sister escapes to a farm house and meets up with a man, and later they meet a family in the house who were in the basement, the whole film is basically their fight to survive the night and attempt to escape the house, it has good special effects for the 60s, a good storyline, alright gore for the 60s, and a good ending

Day of the Dead = This movie is based after the initial rise of the zombies, it is about a group of people who are out in the wasteland, half of them want to kill the leader of a fortified town and the other half are against it because of the danger that would pose to the residents of the town, so they split off and the film is basically a race between the two groups and a fight against the zombies, it has good special effects, good actors, alright gore, alright storyline and a not so good ending

Day of the Dead 2: Contagium = From what I can see it is not a follow on from 'Day of the Dead' it seems totally unrelated apart from the fact there are zombies, the film is basically about a virus that breaks out in a hospital and is contained by the army but a little vial of the virus escapes and is found years later by the residents of a mental home, and the virus breaks out again wreaking havok in the mental home, This film has alright special effects, an alright storyline, alright actors and alright gore, its just about average

Diary of the Dead = This film is a hand-held camera style film and follows a group of teens and a man in their fight to find safety from the living dead, the film has good special effects, good gore, alright actors, an alright storyline but a crap ending

Platoon of the Dead = This is an awful zombie movie, it is about spirits posessing dead bodies and forming an army to attack the living, it is based in the middle of the war and is about a small group of soldiers and some women they meet in a house they hide out in, the special effects are awful, the actors are awful, the storyline is bad, the gore is crap and the ending is crap too

Evil Dead 2 = This is another movie about spirits possessing bodies, it is about a couple of teens who go to someones house while they are away and find a recording about a discovery, they are then attacked by a spirit who kills the woman and she attacks the man the rest of the film is about the fight to send the spirit back where it came from and survive, the special effects werent good at all, the storyline was average, the actors were good, and the end was good too

Dead Snow = This is basically a Nazi Zombies movie, it is about a load of teens going up to the mountains for a holiday, it is based in Norway or Switzerland I think, but basically the teens find some Nazi Jewelery and the Zombie awake, one of the teens goes off and gets attacked by Nazi Zombies and so do the others and the rest of the movie is basically then trying to survive an escape from the nightmarish bloodbath that has arrived, its a good film with great special effects, alright actors, awesome sick gore and a good storyline.

I would personally recommend 28 days later as the best one, but I would also suggest watching Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Day of the Dead 2, Dead Snow and 28 Weeks Later as they are all relatively good watches

Zombie Movies

I love zombie movies, they are a good watch whether they are badly made or not, I have watched quite a few of them and the one I preferred out of the ones I have watched was '28 days later' (even though it is infection I still count it as zombies), the apecial effects were good, the actors were great at acting, the story line had a couple of holes but was good altogether and the end was great, the one I watched that I rate the worst out of all of them was 'Platoon of the Dead', the zombies were badly made, the actors were crap at acting, the storyline made sense but was rubbish, the special effects were awful and the end was crap (the army picking people up in a family car XD) and the guns were awful, they were like plastic star wars guns and shot lasers, it was altogether crap, but I still watched it because I was bored enough.
I will give you a list of zombie movies and what I think of them later and will do the same for other movies too so that I can give recommendations to people on what I think was a good watch.

Anime (zombies)

Yeah I like anime, I BLAME YOU LUCY!!!!
I first started with manga (the comics) when a mate showed me a website to read manga on and recommended I try it, I did, I was into zombies at the time so I started on 'Highschool of the Dead', which was a little interesting but turned out to be more about sex than zombies to be honest and got rather boring so I quit reading it.
I then found another one called 'Zombie Loan' which I am still currently reading and watching the anime too, it is about a company that give people loans to live and collect payments from their customers while also hiring people to kill off illegal 'zombies', basically a 16 year old girl sees two guys being suspicious and kill a dog that runs for them by shooting it, she then gets spotted by them and they threaten her and get her to work for them, and find out she has the shinigami eyes (she can see if someone will die soon) and they use that to catch the 'illegal zombies' because they are supposed to be dead they will appear with a black ring around their neck to show that.
Its an awesome manga and anime, although the anime is very short and is taking ages to move to the next episode and the manga is still ongoing.

Music

I thought i'd make my first post about music as it is a huge thing in my life at the moment.
I'm not rich or anything so its not too easy to save up money for albums while buying other stuff so it can be a problem sometimes, but I manage.
I've been looking around recently for new bands to start listening to but I can't really think of any to be honest, I already listen to things like Metallica, Marilyn Manson (his old stuff, his new stuff is absolute crap!), Bloodbath, Gothminister, Deathstars, Disturbed, Korn and System of a Down.

I'd recommend Deathstars to just about anyone, they are amazing =P

If you like Death disco I would recommend Deathstars (They're quite a bit like gothminister but there is some differences that split them from his genre)

If you like some of Manson's stuff i recommend staying away from his new album, its so crap it made me want to rip out my ears and shove them down my own throat, Holywood is a great album though, and so is Antichrist Superstar and Portrait of an American Family.

Most, if not all of Korns albums are awesome so take a look at some of their music when you get a chance, and Disturbed do some good music, the album the Sickness has a couple of good tracks on it but is 90% crap lol

Can you recommend some good bands to me when you read this? I need some more music to listen to, im getting bored of the same bands all the time XD
